Friends Transforming Communities Through Service
The Plano North Metroplex (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated proudly continues a legacy of service and friendship that began with its chartering on April 1, 1989. Founded by 33 outstanding women, the chapter has grown to 55 members over the past 30 years, strengthening its impact across the community.

Guided by the mission “Friends Transforming Communities Through Service,” the chapter’s core values center on meaningful service and enduring friendship.

The chapter impacts lives through its SWAG (Serving Wisdom and Grace) program, launched in 2015 in partnership with Plano ISD’s YWI Program. Through monthly engagement, students are introduced to cultural experiences, S.T.E.A.M., healthy lifestyles, and civic education. Community impact is further advanced through long-standing partnerships with organizations such as the Plano Housing Authority and the Douglass Community Center. Above all, the chapter remains committed to the founders’ vision—serving the community while remaining linked in friendship.
